So nice being able to choose from a variety of beans and flavors and then to have that freshly roasted flavor and aroma is such a plus.
When you make a pour-over, you see a bloom from Pops freshly roasted coffees. You don't get that with coffee beans from any supermarket coffee (of distant memory). Of course, you can smell and taste the difference. But the bloom is a signal that makes you anxious to do so.

I don't think of myself as a coffee snob. However, I have searched and searched the grocery store isles for a coffee that is very enjoyable to drink; it doesn't seem to exist, regardless of the name brand. A couple of years pre-pandemic, I absolutely fell in love with the Guatemalan coffee from Pop's. I was devastated when the pandemic made my favorite coffee disappear. I was overjoyed this past month to find out it was still available and ordered a bunch including the Guatemalan, Ethiopian, Columbia, House Blend, and Sumatran. All excellent coffees I revel in every morning. A little pricey compared to store bought, but proof you get what you pay for.
