Pops Coffee At OTIS In Harbor Springs

On Saturday, October 24, Pops Coffee Company took over the coffee bar at OTIS in Harbor Springs, Michigan. We brought our air-roasted coffee up north for the day, and the OTIS crew turned it into lattes, iced lattes, and espresso martinis.
It was a great day, so here's a look back at it.
Fall In Harbor Springs
Late October is one of the best times to be in northern Michigan. The trees around the OTIS patio were gold and orange, and the cafe was full all day. It was a good fit for a coffee day.

What We Poured
We set up a table of fresh bags and a few coffees to taste, including Pops House Blend, Columbian Supremo, Costa Rican La Manita, Bourbon Pecan Torte, and our fall coffees.

Behind the bar, the OTIS baristas pulled shots for lattes and built iced lattes all day.

Once the afternoon turned into evening, the espresso martinis came out. Fresh espresso makes all the difference in a good one.

Air-Roasted, Explained Over A Sample Cup
A lot of people asked what "air-roasted" means, so we brought a sign. Instead of tumbling in a hot metal drum, our beans roast on a column of hot air. That keeps the roast even and lets the chaff blow away, which gives you a cleaner, smoother cup. You can read the full story on our air-roasted coffee page.

We loved talking coffee with everyone who stopped by, from regulars who already knew their order to people tasting a single-origin for the first time.

Our Fall Coffees
Fall is when our flavored coffees shine. Pumpkin Spice tastes like cinnamon, pie spice, baked pumpkin, and vanilla, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Bliss tastes like milk chocolate and creamy peanut butter. Both are medium roasts.

Thank You, OTIS And Harbor Springs
A big thank you to the OTIS team for having us, and to everyone who came out, tasted, and took a bag home. We had a great time and hope to be back up north soon.
